Our story
From the depths of addiction to a life of purpose
Power Points of Victory was born out of one man's journey through 20+ years of addiction, 900 days of homelessness, and a radical encounter with God that changed everything.
"I know what it feels like to believe freedom is impossible. I also know what it feels like to be wrong about that"
The founder's story
900 days without a home. A lifetime of transformation. Mother dead, no family support, knowing my oppertunity for change was coming; and this time I COULDN'T MUCK THINGS UP!
I grew up right — my parents were married, and I graduated at the top of my class in both Primary and Secondary school. By every outward measure, I had every advantage. But somewhere along the way, CRACK COCAINE addiction found me, and for more than two decades it ruled every corner of my life. It cost me relationships, careers, dignity — and eventually, a roof over my head, many, many times. My Father had died decades ago; warring between us. Now, my Mother had passed away and I was alone and homeless one more time. For 900 days I lived on the streets, surviving day to day with no clear path forward but one possible pathway to believe things could ever be different.
But in the middle of that darkness, something shifted. A moment of sober sanity? A prayer I didn't fully believe in? And yet — God showed up. Not with a thunderclap, but with a quiet, persistent grace that began to rebuild what addiction had destroyed. Eventually, I wrote down a COVENANT AGREEMENT; a "I WILL DO THIS IF YOU WILL DO THAT" arrangement. Motivational Speakers call this GOAL SETTING/ DREAM BOARD/VISION BOARD. I included a promise to GET 30,000 PEOPLE OUT FROM DRUGS IF I MAKE IT OUT. 31 December, 2004 is the final time that I used CRACK COCAINE/COCAINE. I still recall hearing the fireworks of the new year of 2005 knowing that was not going back to crack. I didn't know how I was going forward, but it was going forward that I was going. Now, if I live to see January 1st, 2027; I shall complete my 22nd year NO RUNS/NO HITS/NO ERRORS and absolutely no cravings for CRACK COCAINE. May 1984 , in REHAB, I was taught I was stuck like Chuck..."12 Step Programming".
Recovery wasn't instant. It was hard, humbling, and holy. It required community, accountability, and a willingness to be honest (with myself) about the wreckage of the past. But step by step, day by day, freedom became real — not just as a concept, but as a lived experience. On the 5th of January, 2005: I woke up and I have NEVER DESIRED COCAINE AGAIN AT ALL!!!! After that, I had to work on becoming successful living "SOBER". However, this is an entirely different experience AND I DESIRE EVERYONE TO GET A LOOK AT WHAT I HAVE DONE TO BE SUCCESSFULLY SOBER.
Power Points of Victory exists because I know what it feels like to believe freedom is impossible. I also know what it feels like to be wrong about that. This "ministry" is my way of reaching back into the darkness and saying: there is a way out, and you don't have to find it alone. I am not the only person that has experienced turnarounds. Might I suggest looking at Mr. Andre Norman's material? He was a dedicated criminally minded man that experienced a supernatural event...while being in SOLOTARY CONFINEMENT IN PRISON---actively plotting to kill again. He says he heard a voic speak saying "ANDRE---LIFE CHOICES." and that changed his thinking and the changed thinking changed his DESTINY! https://andrenorman.com/ It can happen and you are not alone.
Recovery wasn't instant. It was hard, humbling, and holy. It required community, accountability, and a willingness to be honest about the wreckage of the past. But step by step, day by day, freedom became real — not just as a concept, but as a lived experience. Everyone saw the outside; what looked like a complete garbage of a man's life and existence.

Our vision
A world where no one fights alone
We envision a global community of people in recovery — spiritually, emotionally, and physically — who are equipped with the tools, truth, and support they need to walk in lasting freedom.
What we believe
Our core values
Radical honesty
We believe healing begins with truth. We don't sugarcoat the struggle or the solution.
Grace over shame
No matter what you've done or where you've been, you are worthy of love and recovery.
Faith in action
We believe spiritual transformation is real, practical, and available to everyone.
Community over isolation
Recovery happens in relationship. We are stronger together than we are alone.
Hope as a discipline
Hope is not wishful thinking — it is a daily choice we make, even when it's hard.
Every life matters
We don't write anyone off. Every person has a story worth fighting for.
